What is JPG to PDF Conversion?
JPG to PDF conversion takes one or more image files and combines them into a single PDF document, with each image becoming a full page. PDF is the universal document format supported by every operating system, making it ideal for sharing, archiving, and printing. This tool accepts both JPG and PNG images and combines them in the order you specify. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library, so your images never leave your device.
How It Works
The tool reads each uploaded image, determines its dimensions, creates a PDF page sized to match the image, and embeds the image at full resolution. JPG images are embedded directly without re-compression, so there is no quality loss during conversion. PNG images are similarly embedded with their full color data and transparency preserved. The pages are assembled in the order shown in the file list, and the final PDF is generated as a single downloadable file. For large batches of high-resolution images, the process may take a few seconds depending on your device.
Common Use Cases
- Combining scanned document pages into a single PDF file
- Creating photo books and portfolios from image collections
- Packaging receipts, invoices, or screenshots for submission
- Assembling multi-page documents from individual page scans
- Creating printable PDF handouts from presentation slides saved as images
Tips for Best Results
For the sharpest output, use the highest resolution images available. Standard document scanning at 300 DPI produces clear text in the resulting PDF. If file size is a concern, compress your images first using the Image Compressor before converting to PDF. Arrange your images in the correct page order before converting, as the PDF will follow the sequence shown in the upload list. For converting Word documents directly, use the Word to PDF converter instead. To reverse the process, try PDF to Image.
