HTTP 418 I'm a Teapot
Client ErrorAn April Fools' joke from RFC 2324 (Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol). The server refuses to brew coffee because it is a teapot.
Common Causes
- Easter egg or joke response from a server
- Intentional humorous implementation
How to Fix
- This is a joke status code, not used in production
- If seen in production, check for misconfigured server responses
